About SW Jewels

I’m Sarah, the heart and hands behind SW Jewels. I work from my home studio on the Sunshine Coast of Australia (Kabi Kabi / Gubbi Gubbi country). I make jewellery that honours our connections within the natural world, as well as with the inner self.

All SW Jewels creations are made with recycled precious metals and ethically sourced gemstones. Sometimes found objects like shells and other little gifts from nature make their way into my creations. I also sometimes work with human and animal remains to create bespoke memorial jewellery.

I started making jewellery in 2011 when I began my studies in contemporary craft and silversmithing in New Zealand. This is where I learnt traditional silver and gold-smithing skills and techniques, whilst also practicing artistic academia. I completed the degree in 2014 and since then my artistic practice has grown and developed with me as I have moved my studio from one place to another, mostly between Australia and New Zealand, enjoying many different experiences and creative atmospheres - from busy city life to serene, quiet nature, and everywhere in between.

Thank you for being here and exploring my work. If you'd like to reach out for any reason at all, you can find me here.

With warmth,

Sarah x

As an artist living and working on Kabi Kabi / Gubbi Gubbi land, I acknowledge the traditional owners of this land and pay my respects to Elders past and present. I recognise that this land was never surrendered and I pledge to honour and respect this land and its rightful owners by donating 1% of profits annually to The Healing Foundation (www.healingfoundation.org.au). As my small business grows, I will endeavour to increase this donation.
