Terms and Conditions
Shipping and Handling
A standard courier rate of $18 (NZD) applies for orders within New Zealand, and $80 (NZD) for international orders. If you live in a country that isn't available as a shipping option at checkout, please don't hesitate to get in touch and I will look into the cost of shipping a special piece your way.
Please note that any international import and duty charges are not included in your purchase, and are the responsibility of the customer. To learn more about import and duty charges for your particular order, please visit your country's relevant customs website.
Shipping and delivery times will vary between countries. Your item will be sent by courier or tracked post so you will have a tracking number to refer to if you'd like to check up on your order. Please allow 2-6 weeks for your order to arrive.
Resizing
Most of the jewellery that I make is not able to be resized, so it is best to be sure of the fit before purchasing. If you are unsure about the size of a piece of jewellery that you're interested in purchasing, feel free to contact me to check if it will be able to be resized after purchase. If you find something that you like but it's not in your size, then again feel free to reach out to me as I may be able to make something similar for you in your size.
Please note that resizing will incur a minimum fee of $50 (NZD) and may sometimes be higher, depending on the extra material needed or the amount of work required for the particular piece. Please also note that any shipping costs associated with a resizing job will be the responsibility of the customer. Please only ship the piece of jewellery in question to me once we have discussed the situation via email, and I have agreed to do the resizing work for you.
Repairs
If damage occurs after purchase from mishandling or general wear and tear then I will be happy to do my best to repair the item of jewellery where possible, for a fee. The minimum cost of a repair job is $50 (NZD) but the fee may be higher depending on the particular piece and the extent of the damage. Please note that any shipping costs associated with a repair job will be the responsibility of the customer. Please only ship the piece of jewellery in question to me once we have discussed the situation via email, and I have agreed to do the repair work for you.
Please take a look at the notes on jewellery care on the FAQs page of this website in order to give your jewellery the best chance of never needing any repair work done.
Returns, Exchanges and Refunds
I will always package your purchase as carefully and safely as possible. If damage somehow occurs during the shipment of your jewellery, please contact me as soon as it is in your hands with clear photographs of the damage. In this event, you may choose one of two options going forward:
a) Receive a full refund for the damaged item/s, when you ship the damaged item/s back to me
b) Exchange the damaged item/s for something of the same or closely similar value.
* Please only ship the piece/s of jewellery in question to me once we have discussed the situation via email. *
I do not offer refunds or exchanges for bespoke/custom-made pieces of jewellery. I also do not offer refunds or exchanges on sale items, or in the event of a change of mind. I reserve the right to assess the condition of the returned item of jewellery before agreeing to a refund or exchange.
If you have purchased jewellery from one of the galleries that I stock, please check in with their specific returns and exchanges policy.
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of the purchase being made, and a refund will be given through the same payment method that was used for the purchase. Order cancellations are not possible after 24 hours have passed as I will likely have already started investing my time/energy/money/heart into making your special piece for you.
Every piece of jewellery is made entirely by hand, by me, so no two pieces will be exactly the same. As a maker and consumer of art, I enjoy seeing evidence of the handmade elements in a piece of work, and as such I intentionally leave "maker's marks" visible in my own work. These can look like small file scuffs, hammer marks, lines that are not perfectly straight, or faint solder flow lines. This serves as a reminder that your jewellery was made by a person, not a machine. These marks carry with them a small piece of my creative soul and are evidence of the hours and sometimes days of work that have gone into making each special piece. Please note that I do not offer refunds or exchanges in the event that these small imperfections do not suit your personal taste.
Thank you for your understanding.
